Heritage Reflectivity Modelling Codes

The reflectivity codes include:

acoustic: For the problem of a layered acoustic half space

isopsv: For the problem of a surface source on an elastic layered half space

isosh: For the problem of an SH line source in an elastic layered half space

isow: For the problem of a water layer over a layered elastic half space

timw: For the problem of a water layer over a layered transversly isotropic elastic half space.

The source code to these routines is provided as a resource. It is not intended as a seismic system that you can put together and run, but rather as a source of reliable seismic subroutines. If you have questions concerning this material please contact:

SPARC software system

Between 1974 and 1991, ARCO developed and maintained an in-house seismic processing system. This system was advanced for its time, having the capability of passing seismic data from one process to another without I/O. Complex processing flows could be created with little effort. SPARC was originally designed to run on IBM mainframes, but was later converted to run on a CRAY. In the early 90s the SPARC system was abandoned in favor of PROMAX. The CRAY release of SPARC is saved here.

Some documentation is contained within the following directory in datasets starting with doc. The most interesting one is likely to be docfunc, a list of the available functions in SPARC. Some of these functions have been removed to avoid ownership issues, but most remain.

The routines are here as a resource of well-used seismic code. This is not intended as a seismic system that you can put together and run, but rather as a source of reliable seismic subroutines. I hope that these codes will be useful, but I am not very familiar with this package, and I am not likely to be very helpful if you have any questions.
