KEYBOARD USAGE

It is generally simpler and more intuitive to operate the Plotxy
using the mouse. There are keyboard equivalents for most mouse
operations. The keyboard equivalents are described here along with other
key related information. This file assumes a Sun 4 keyboard and may not
be correct for other keyboards.

MENU BAR

There are two methods available for making menu choices using the
keyboard.

Method 1:

Pressing the F10 key while the mouse pointer is in the main window will
activate the menu bar. You may then use the Right and Left arrow keys to
move to different menus and the Up and Down arrow keys to move to
different menu items. The Return key or the Space Bar will select the
current menu item.

Method 2:

Most menu titles on the menu bar have an underlined character in them.
Pressing this character while holding the Meta key (the key with a
diamond on it, between the space bar and the Alt key) will pull down the
associated menu.

Most menu items in the menus have an underlined character in them.
Pressing this character while holding the Alt key will select the menu
item.

These two methods may be mixed.
