NAME
gthrplot - module to create a plotfile of a shot gather, for
plotting via routine aqplot. gthrplot needs as input the
aqplot plotfiles for all sources, and all receivers (select-
ing those corresponding to the requested shot gather), as
well as the aps relation file.
SYNOPSIS
gthrplot [ -saqplot_source-file ] [ -raqplot_receiver-file ]
[ -Xaps_relation-file ]
[ -Gshotpoint_index ] [ -V ] [ -? ]
DESCRIPTION
gthrplot gets both its data and its parameters from command
line arguments. These arguments specify the aqplot source
and receiver filenames, as well as the aps relation filename
and the desired shot index. You may use sticky or non-
sticky arguments as you wish.
Command line arguments
-s aqplot_source-file
Enter the filename for the seismic-source input
dataset, in aqplot format. This file is normally writ-
ten by a prior application of sps_aps. Since the out-
put aqplot plotfile is written in this directory, under
the name aqplot_source-file.gaqp, you must have WRITE
PERMISSION in this directory.
-r aqplot_receiver-file
Enter the filename for the receiver input dataset, in
aqplot format. This file is normally written by a
prior application of sps_aps.
-X aps_relation-file
Enter the filename for the "relation" input dataset, in
aps format. This filename should include the complete
path, if the file resides in a different directory.
-G shot_point_index
Enter the index for the desired shot point. gthrplot
will find all the aqplot receiver records corresponding
to this shot.
-V Enter this command line argument to get additional
printout.
-? or -h
Enter the command line argument '-?' or -h to get
online help. The program terminates after the help
screen is printed.
DISCUSSION
The output aqplot plotfile is written in the directory of
the aqplot_source-file, under the name aqplot_source-
file.gaqp.
