NAME

     rmsvlmx - Convert Time/Velocity Pairs to Depth/Interval
     Velocity pairs

SYNOPSIS

rmsvlmx [-vvfil] [-oofil] [-rsnrst] [-vmaxvmax] [-V ]

DESCRIPTION

rmsvlmx will convert sets of time/rms-velocity pairs to
depth/interval-velocity pairs. Inputs to rmsvlmx are a
file containing "TDFN-formatted" cards and command line
arguments. The output from rmsvlmx is a set of interval
velocity functions in the format expected by program vlmx,
which can then used to create a USP-formatted interval velo-
     city field.

  Command line arguments
     -v vfil
Enter the input velocity card file name after typing
-v. This ascii file should be in TDFN format (given
          below).

     -o ofil
Enter the output card file name after typing -o. This
will be an ascii file which is in the format expected
          by program vlmx.

     -rs nrst
Enter the starting record number after typing -rs.

     -vmax vmax
Enter the maximum interval velocity (in ft/sec or
          m/sec) after typing -vmax.

     -V Enter -V for a verbose printout.

-h Enter -h for online help. Program will terminate after
          printing this.

  Description of TDFN Parameters
     Card Number n
Enter the sequential number of the card within a set.
The last card number for a velocity function must be a
          9.

     Time tttt
          Enter the time in ms.

     Velocity vvvvv
Enter the rms velocity in ft/sec or m/sec.

     Job Number jjjjjjj
Enter the job number (OAC line number).

     Record Number rrrrr
Enter the last record number to which this velocity
          function applies.
