NAME

rsiz - Resize Seismic Records and Traces

SYNOPSIS

rsiz [-Ninput] [-Ooutput] [-RXrx] [-RTrt] [-DXdx] [-V]

DESCRIPTION

rsiz will resize seismic records and traces by a ratio
entered for traces and a ratio entered for samples. The
inputs are seismic records and command line arguments. Pro-
gram rsiz does not preserve input header information at this
time. Until this is corrected only the following positions
     will be updated:
         Line Header:
                number of traces per record
                number of samples per trace
                group interval
                sample interval
         Trace Header:
                record number
                trace number
                permanent record number
                permanent trace number
all other positions will be set to zero

  Command line arguments
     -N input
Enter the USP-formatted input dataset name after typing
          -N.

     -O output
Enter the USP-formatted output dataset name after typ-
          ing -O.

     -RX rx
Enter the ratio of the input trace spacing to the out-
put trace spacing after typing -RX. The dataset will
be resized by an rx to 1.0 ratio in the trace direc-
tion. For example, if rx is 2, the number of traces on
output will be twice the number of traces on input. If
rx is .5, the number of traces on output will be half
as many as the number of traces on input.

     -RT rt
Enter the ratio of the input sample spacing to the out-
put sample spacing after typing -RT. The dataset will
be resized by an rt to 1.0 ratio in the sample direc-
tion. For example, if rt is 2, the number of samples
on output will be twice the number of samples on input.
If rt is .5, the number of samples on output will be
half as many as the number of samples on input.

     -DX dx
Enter the output trace spacing in feet or meters after
typing -DX. The default is the input line header group
          interval value * (1./rx).

     -V Enter -V for a verbose printout.
